The Malaysian highway/freeway is considered one of the best in the world. They spent millions of dollars building these roads. It's because it is their tax payers money. If not you are still using the old truck road to go back your home town which will take you about 11 hours to reach Penang from Kuala Lumpur. In urban areas some roads are not properly maintained and there are a lot lorries using it. With the north-south highway, we can reach our destination in about 4-5 hours.
In some other countries, many of the highway is not up to standard. Watch this short video. Imagine you are in the car and you suddenly vanish in it!! LOL
